I have written two books, both recently republished in one volume along with an anti violence program and both my thesis and dissertation, all under the title ProKids, Inc.; The Message and The Movement - A Guide for Parents and Professionals (www.createspace.com/3526148).  The titles of the previously published books are: At the Mercy of Externals:  Righting Wrongs and Protecting Kids; and Psyche-Soul-ology:  An Inspirational Approach to Appreciating and Understanding Troubled Kids.  I am very proud of my books and my research which serve as a basis for all I do professionally , and reflect all I have learned beginning in 1986 with my MS degree program in General Psychology.  Within the pages of the new book containing all five works readers will discover details and applications of my philosophies and theories relative to working with troubled kids regardless of culture or background.   The second book, Psyche-Soul-ology, also exposes a great deal of what I have learned relative to abuses of power and authority sanctioned under the US Patriot Act.  This piece of legislation literally "enhanced the power and authority of law enforcement", AND "protects them with a veil of secrecy".  Also, under this act any crime listed in the criminal code books can be intrepeted as an "act of terrorism" if it "represents any threat to life or property", and solely at the discretion of law enforcment on a case-by-case basis.  That includes just about every law we have, including traffic violations, should law enforcement officials be inclined to interpret things according to the unchecked discretion given to them by our federal government.  Please go into any search engine and look up "US Patriot Act and Domestic Terrorism".  You will be shocked at what you find.  This doesn't even include the likely billions of taxpayer dollars misappropriated and funneled down to local law enforcment agencies nationwide in areas where terrorist attacks are unlikely to ever occur.
 
As a result of all of these awarenesses, I have become a full-fledged advocate on the part of those I serve.  My services include direct service provision to kids and families, to include educating them on these issues.  Because many of our public agencies, institutions, and organizations are all tied into some connection with law enforcement, the juvenile systems, and district attorneys, they have a monopoly on services with virtually no transparency.  Therefore, it is my job to fully inform my clients, and the people I reach through public speaking engagements and seminars, of these violations of justice and the public trust.  Virtually every agency, institution, and organization I have encountered since 9/11 has become so territotial as to even openly brag about "those problem kids" who "represent job security for ALL of us".   Because of my willingness to speak out publicly on these issues I have also been blocked here in Mobile, ALabama by the very systems I am expertly qualified to work through on behalf of the kids they are targeting for "job security".
 
In addition to my private practice under www.ProKidsInc.org, I also have the ProKids, Inc. Community Empowerment Alliance through which I and other community leaders/activists help educate the public about their rights and their responsibilities relative to:  parenting; adult roles and responsibilities; sex and sexuality; and gangs and youth violence/criminality.  This program is in its early stages and is slowly evolving into a grassroots effort to help the people we serve gain the knowledge and support they need to stand up for themselves.
